Register for a free webinar with MongoDB – “Learn How To Secure MongoDB Atlas (and Address Compliance Requirements)” on August 7, 2019 Noon Eastern US time:

Database Security 2.0’s is able to leverage MongoDB’s integrated auditing capability with MongoDB Atlas. This enables enterprise users who are migrating their workloads to MongoDB Atlas to have an even more complete view of their whole operational security status. The integration allows Database Security 2.0 to consume and normalize MongoDB audit logging so that it works within its AI-powered engine. Working with the MongoDB Atlas team, the integration is easy to configure and once activated, the data becomes available for reporting, alerting, behavioral profiling and the many other capabilities that Database Security 2.0 provides in its mission to provide insight from the large volumes of captured data.

While MongoDB Atlas provides a global, managed cloud platform, some enterprises may still prefer to run their MongoDB deployments on-prem with MongoDB Enterprise Advanced. Thanks to the Atlas integration work, we’ve also made available versions of the integrations for self-managed MongoDB running on VM/server installations or Docker containers. Wherever you decide to deploy your MongoDB database, on-prem or in the cloud, we have the ability to integrate it into your security analytics.

Data security and compliance requirements continue to grow in scope and priority as the need to fully understand where all sensitive data resides and how it is accessed. Traditional approaches have left organizations frustrated with the lack of meaningful insight, despite heavy investments in a variety of security tools, teams, and processes. And of course, the rapid adoption of cloud technologies only makes this more challenging as the landscape for data repositories becomes even more diverse.

In most cases, the frustration stems from having to independently manage 5 to 15 different database security tools, each with their own large and unruly data sets, proprietary UIs, quirky reporting systems, and even tool specific data and user behavior analytic functions. Bridging all of the fragments of information from these tools into your higher order definition of security requirements is simply too difficult with traditional approaches and a new approach is clearly needed.

Database Security 2.0 changes data security and compliance strategies by inserting a new “control plane” above all of your existing tools and using this to consolidate raw data from these tools and normalize it into a common data model. Our work with MongoDB ensures that Atlas customers can readily access a next-generation data security platform that will help you efficiently achieve your security and compliance objectives, while at the same time enjoying the broader power and productivity of MongoDB Atlas.
